Hello, thanks for stopping by! Today I'm joining some of my fellow <a href="http://jillibeansoup.typepad.com/">Jillibean Soup's</a> Design Team members to share a tag I've created for <a href="http://inmycreativeopinion.blogspot.ca/">Tracey McNeely's</a> 7th Annual 25 Days of Christmas Tags. If this is you're first time stumbling upon this project, be sure to scroll back through Tracey's blog to see all of the amazing tags that have been shared and companies that have been represented.<br />
<br />
I couldn't resist Jillibean's shaker tag products as a base for my Christmas tag and I threw in a bit of stamping to make it even more festive.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-PaVU_1Wxiwk/WguWaSnY2MI/AAAAAAAADKA/qEzl33_ozdwM1_PA1fN6_yXtan948cccQCLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_0192-001.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="797" height="640" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-PaVU_1Wxiwk/WguWaSnY2MI/AAAAAAAADKA/qEzl33_ozdwM1_PA1fN6_yXtan948cccQCLcBGAs/s640/IMG_0192-001.JPG" width="424" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The heart shaker design makes the perfect letter "O" in the word JOY. Jillibean's corrugated letters spell out the remainder of the word, atop of a simple striped patterned paper. I used the banner from the 'Peace Love Joy' clear stamp set to underline my focal piece and to add a sentiment to my design. Red sequins were placed within the shaker and also adorn the top. A few stamped leaves create a look of holly and berries, making the overall design that much more festive.</div>

This tag could easily be mass produced to decorate your holiday packages this year. If you are interested in doing so, I'd be happy to provide more detailed info on the specific supplies used. Leave me a comment below!<br />

Today, the Jillibean designers are taking part in the final day of the <a href="http://inmycreativeopinion.blogspot.ca/search/label/25%20Days%20of%20Christmas%20Tags">25 Days of Christmas Tags with Tracey McNeely</a>.</span><br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">I reached for the Jillibean holiday stamp and shaker products to create this extra special tag. You can't go wrong with a trio of cute snowmen inside of a sweet little snow globe, can you?! This tag could adorn just about any holiday package.</span></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-wsZlzdIV6Y0/WDX5uKRpbzI/AAAAAAAADHs/JD4uEwOuF6wWSr4eno03rFYawb5KzAhiACLcB/s1600/IMG_9624-001.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-wsZlzdIV6Y0/WDX5uKRpbzI/AAAAAAAADHs/JD4uEwOuF6wWSr4eno03rFYawb5KzAhiACLcB/s640/IMG_9624-001.JPG" width="475" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">I stamped my snowmen onto watercolor cardstock, so that I would be able to use my Zig clean color real brush markers to bring them to life. A smattering of iridescent sequins and glass seed beads move about inside my shaker element, to add to the look of falling snow.</span></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-RNaTVwAygY8/WDX5uVW_9qI/AAAAAAAADH0/2e2utEWzeswI1tGYLfFm1q_4PP41ppS3gCLcB/s1600/IMG_9628-001.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-RNaTVwAygY8/WDX5uVW_9qI/AAAAAAAADH0/2e2utEWzeswI1tGYLfFm1q_4PP41ppS3gCLcB/s640/IMG_9628-001.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">I took a bit of a risk by attempting to stamp and heat emboss on the outside of the shaker circle. If you look closely, you'll see that the heat from my heat gun caused the plastic to warp a little bit, but it was nothing I couldn't mask with some additional miniature tags. *If you try this yourself - be sure to keep your heat gun moving, as not to disfigure and/or melt the plastic completely!</span><br />

The first is a simpler page that documents a recent favorite photo of my daughter and I and my list of current 'loves'. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Because the background paper I chose was so very busy, I chose to keep my design simple and limit my embellishments. A kraft background is always a good go-to neutral when designing with lots of color and pattern. The extra added papers, diecuts and stickers are all more on the solid side and tie back into the different colors from the background paper.</span><br />
<br />

<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">With my kit leftovers, I created two quick cards for my sweet valentines. I couldn't resist making this cute and funky porcupine the focus of one of my cards. Isn't he fun?!</span><br />

I'm not quite done sharing my February <a href="http://mycreativescrapbook.com/">My Creative Scrapbook</a> kit projects with you. This kit was jam packed with items, and even after creating four pages and two cards I still have leftover items!</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana;">I love stretching the contents of a kit and making each page so very different from the last. So far I have shared two pages featuring pictures of my daughter, because the color palette is so very girly. However, the kit also works great for documenting those you love! This page features a date night selfie of my husband and I.</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-NWCHhw0_GiU/VsDw9eGZ0rI/AAAAAAAADBU/TZ0v716hQn8/s1600/MCS-JaclynRench-FebMainKit-LO3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-NWCHhw0_GiU/VsDw9eGZ0rI/AAAAAAAADBU/TZ0v716hQn8/s640/MCS-JaclynRench-FebMainKit-LO3.jpg" width="634" /></a></div>
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">It's no secret, I love labels! Most of my pages include at least one. I cut apart the labels from one of the patterned paper sheets and used it to scatter my journaling down my page. I mixed in some of the sticker and diecut labels for added pops of color and interest. Machine stitching adds extra texture and interest to the design.</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-raRJEt0AirI/VsDw9lO2toI/AAAAAAAADBc/h68HPY9wk9U/s1600/MCS-JaclynRench-FebMainKit-LO3-detail2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="432" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-raRJEt0AirI/VsDw9lO2toI/AAAAAAAADBc/h68HPY9wk9U/s640/MCS-JaclynRench-FebMainKit-LO3-detail2.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<span style="font-family: Verdana;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana;">I'm sharing a tutorial over on the </span><a href="http://www.mycreativescrapbook.blogspot.com/"><span style="font-family: Verdana;">My Creative Scrapbook blog</span></a><span style="font-family: Verdana;"> today for a couple of simple ways to alter your wood veneer shapes and sentiments. It's certainly not a difficult process but can produce customized results, as I've done for my page title here.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana;">Gold glitter embossing powder gives an extra pop to the 'XOXO' wood veneer and ties back in with the other gold elements on the page.</span><br />

This page is a little different for me but I really loved how it turned out! There were so many pretty patterns in the We R Memory Keeper's Crush collection, that was the focus of the kit, I wanted to find a way to include as many of the prints as possible. A heart punch and a top to bottom nestled heart pattern was the perfect formula.</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-SwQ1MLEvQBA/VsDulDlIy_I/AAAAAAAADAw/i4pBz8tKpbs/s1600/MCS-JaclynRench-FebMainKit-LO2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="634" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-SwQ1MLEvQBA/VsDulDlIy_I/AAAAAAAADAw/i4pBz8tKpbs/s640/MCS-JaclynRench-FebMainKit-LO2.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">When laying out my heart design, I made sure to keep an eye on color placement and ensure that each pattern was evenly dispersed and represented.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Lining the hearts up with one row upright and the following row upside down, allowed me to nestle the rows closely among one another. This not only tied the rows together but creates a fun and unexpected element on the page.</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-uUWZ64GRzOM/VsDuluDEioI/AAAAAAAADA0/H9CYVp19FMo/s1600/MCS-JaclynRench-FebMainKit-LO2-detail2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="406" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-uUWZ64GRzOM/VsDuluDEioI/AAAAAAAADA0/H9CYVp19FMo/s640/MCS-JaclynRench-FebMainKit-LO2-detail2.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Page titles are not my strong suit, so I looked to the contents of the diecut pack to give me a little help and inspiration. Lucky for me there was the perfect option. Since the two words I planned to use were different colors, I picked an additional diecut element (the butterfly) which had colors from both words, to compliment and tie the full title together. A pretty dimensional ribbon bow was the perfect finishing accent to my title treatment.</span></div>

The February Main kit is filled with items from the We R Memory Keepers Crush collection and wood veneers from Crate Paper's Hello Love. As you might assume, there was certainly a love/valentine theme throughout the kit, but even so, I found it to be quite versatile and actually didn't even scrap a stitch of Valentines!</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "verdana";"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: "verdana";">This page documents a recent favorite photo of my daughter and LOTS of journaling. I wanted to record all of the little bits and pieces that make her who she is at four years old.</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-H66jYTtINVk/VsDt9AE6wbI/AAAAAAAADAo/pgyo6uOGu-o/s1600/MCS-JaclynRench-FebMainKit-LO1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="634" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-H66jYTtINVk/VsDt9AE6wbI/AAAAAAAADAo/pgyo6uOGu-o/s640/MCS-JaclynRench-FebMainKit-LO1.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">That floral watercolor paper was the inspiration and starting point for my page. I knew it would pair nicely and be the perfect contrast to the denim and woodgrain in my photo. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: "verdana";"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: "verdana";">I loved the patterning and gradient of color on the sticker/chevron arrows. Not only do they add a fun accent to the left column of the page, but they direct your eye to the important stuff - the story!</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-q586j0hNoQU/VsDt8wzG3EI/AAAAAAAADAk/tQn13TNSUYA/s1600/MCS-JaclynRench-FebMainKit-LO1-detail2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="440" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-q586j0hNoQU/VsDt8wzG3EI/AAAAAAAADAk/tQn13TNSUYA/s640/MCS-JaclynRench-FebMainKit-LO1-detail2.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">I loved putting together this cluster of elements on the right side of my photo. Again, I started with the watercolor flower diecut, knowing it would be complimentary to my photo and background. From that point I played around with different sticker, diecut and dimensional embellishments until I landed on a pretty cluster of elements that wasn't too overdone. The wood veneer arrow, again, directs your eye to focus of the page and the sweet 'I love your face' text sticker acts as a subtle page title.</span><br />

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Good Monday morning! I'm excited to get this week started because I've got a week's worth of projects to share with you! So, make sure you stop back by each weekday to see what's new.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana;">Over the weekend I shared a project for the Just Nick Studio / Clique Kits blog hop. If you missed that post and page, and the details of how to enter the giveaway, you can find it <a href="http://www.jaclynrench.blogspot.com/2016/02/just-nickclique-kits-blog-hop.html">here</a>. I had so much fun pairing the kit contents and exclusive cut files that I couldn't stop creating and combining the two! So, I'm sharing another page that resulted from this team up on the <a href="http://justnick.myshopify.com/blogs/justnick">Just Nick blog</a> and here, today.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-u0RjEohMbOI/VsCjIrTGhLI/AAAAAAAADAQ/5QPYs8K3JIE/s1600/IMG_8778.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-u0RjEohMbOI/VsCjIrTGhLI/AAAAAAAADAQ/5QPYs8K3JIE/s640/IMG_8778.JPG" width="604" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img alt="CK_Feb16-CutFiles2" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-8890" height="320" src="https://cliquekits.files.wordpress.com/2016/02/ck_feb16-cutfiles2.jpg?w=611&h=611" width="320" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I used the bannered heart design, from the exclusive set of cut files, to cover the majority of the background. I chose to forgo the banner style ends, and instead cut them off for a clean and straight edge. The resulting cuts were sized at approximately 7.75"x1.5". I cut five of them, from white cardstock, to fill my background. Layering them atop of one another and under my picture creates cohesion throughout the design.</span></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-sj_vcjhu3-o/VsCjIJYG3rI/AAAAAAAADAM/qHlvqwOo2-g/s1600/IMG_8780-001.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-sj_vcjhu3-o/VsCjIJYG3rI/AAAAAAAADAM/qHlvqwOo2-g/s640/IMG_8780-001.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">The open hearts were a great place to introduce lots of color and pattern from the kit papers into my design. I even used the included sequin mix to back some of my hearts and add a little extra detail and shimmer.</span> <br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Some foam mounted stickers, stictching and a Thicker title were the finishing touches atop my background design.</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-sMUw4CaRMS4/VsCjHinVUsI/AAAAAAAADAI/lRz2bl82Leo/s1600/IMG_8781-001.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-sMUw4CaRMS4/VsCjHinVUsI/AAAAAAAADAI/lRz2bl82Leo/s640/IMG_8781-001.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">The combination of the Hot Mess kit and Just Nick designs is a pretty perfect pairing, wouldn't you agree? The are both so full of product, design and versatility, that I've got one more page combining the two that I will share with you later in the month.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana;">I hope to see you back here tomorrow as I start to share the projects I've made with My Creative Scrapbook's February Main kit!</span></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "verdana";">If it's your first time joining me on my blog - welcome, I'm so happy to have you here! I had so much fun combining the Clique kits Hot Mess kit and exclusive Just Nick files and I'm excited to share the results with you...</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "verdana";"></span> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-V4n6r8GbawA/Vr44rBeb33I/AAAAAAAAC_I/hf4M8xFIbS0/s1600/IMG_8762.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-V4n6r8GbawA/Vr44rBeb33I/AAAAAAAAC_I/hf4M8xFIbS0/s640/IMG_8762.JPG" width="606" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">The lined heart filled square file was my favorite, of the exclusive designs. I knew at first glance that it would make the perfect 'memo board' background for my page. The original design was square, but by using the erase and weld functions in the silhouette software, I was able to join two squares atop of one another resulting in a taller design and more surface to my 'memo board'.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "verdana";"></span> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">All of the Maggie Holmes Shine collection ephemera and stickers, included in the Clique Kit were a great companion to this idea and design. They allowed me to create a pretty collage of elements that I clipped to my background and used to accent my pictures.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "verdana";"></span> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-JPC9EQaWgRw/Vr447m3NqqI/AAAAAAAAC_U/OUx3phr26uI/s1600/IMG_8766-001.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-JPC9EQaWgRw/Vr447m3NqqI/AAAAAAAAC_U/OUx3phr26uI/s640/IMG_8766-001.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">The wood veneer heart outline, just so happened to fit perfectly atop of one of the diecut hearts, and the various heart stickers included in the kit were a fun and complementary accent.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Gk2vq2kWeDg/Vr447Ot1yjI/AAAAAAAAC_M/BKv5WThUwG4/s1600/IMG_8768-001.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Gk2vq2kWeDg/Vr447Ot1yjI/AAAAAAAAC_M/BKv5WThUwG4/s640/IMG_8768-001.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Tags are a natural element on any memo board, and there were certainly many to choose from in this kit. I also loved that I could clip a couple of the transparent diecut tabs onto the horizontal lines of my diecut background.</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-KHEkB-9Pjp8/Vr447zUM5GI/AAAAAAAAC_Q/bF582M5pjD0/s1600/IMG_8773-001.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-KHEkB-9Pjp8/Vr447zUM5GI/AAAAAAAAC_Q/bF582M5pjD0/s640/IMG_8773-001.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "verdana";">The combination of this kit and the coordinating cut files are a perfect match, wouldn't you agree? In fact, I've had so much fun with this pairing that I've made two more pages that I'll be sharing on my blog in the coming weeks. I hope you'll stop back by to see them!</span></div>

If you're making any Valentine's gifts for your sweeties this year - it's crunch time! Lucky for you I'm sharing a sweet and easy to assemble treat idea. The supplies are simple and the result is not only yummy but adorable.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana;"></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-hIhupN7ECFY/Vr4_l41E56I/AAAAAAAAC_s/rH5Rx3CPSCs/s1600/DIY_Envelopes_1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-hIhupN7ECFY/Vr4_l41E56I/AAAAAAAAC_s/rH5Rx3CPSCs/s640/DIY_Envelopes_1.JPG" width="494" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">The cuter the packaging, the sweeter the treat, right?! I used </span><a href="http://www.dcwv.com/"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">DCWV</span></a><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">'s </span><a href="http://www.joann.com/dcwv-12inx12in-diy-project-stack-envelopes/14414163.html"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Envelope's DIY Project Stack</span></a><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"> to jump start my project. I was thrilled to find a pattern for the treat sleeve in this stack. I chose a pretty pink ombre, text, and black and white arrow pattern papers, to compliment the Valentine theme.</span></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-qqaMQw5hKmI/Vr4_oKTnleI/AAAAAAAAC_0/Fl_3T98X3s8/s1600/DIY_Envelopes_2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-qqaMQw5hKmI/Vr4_oKTnleI/AAAAAAAAC_0/Fl_3T98X3s8/s640/DIY_Envelopes_2.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">It's no secret that I love to bake, so I've filled my treat sleeves with a half dozen mini cookies. If you're not a baker, or don't have time you could easily substitute conversation hearts, packaged chocolates or even store bought cookies.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana;"></span> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana;"></span> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Zf-NblyWRyw/Vr4_lbfIJFI/AAAAAAAAC_o/_zrd1EcIUkQ/s1600/DIY_Envelopes_3.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Zf-NblyWRyw/Vr4_lbfIJFI/AAAAAAAAC_o/_zrd1EcIUkQ/s640/DIY_Envelopes_3.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I wanted to give my recipient a peek at what was inside the sleeve, so I cut a small circle-shaped window out of the front portion. My cookies are enclosed in a clear bag, so while the window reveals a peek, the treats remain secure inside.</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-PoUJmdYMJmo/Vr4_ngWoCuI/AAAAAAAAC_w/79wT49xM9SI/s1600/DIY_Envelopes_4.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-PoUJmdYMJmo/Vr4_ngWoCuI/AAAAAAAAC_w/79wT49xM9SI/s640/DIY_Envelopes_4.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">A simple bit of ribbon, stamped sentiment, punched heart and DCWV gem sticker finish off the design and presentation of my baked goodies.</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-LXz6iDD0s_Q/Vr4_oxrQNNI/AAAAAAAAC_4/oCQVdfUf-HY/s1600/DIY_Envelopes_5.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="438" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-LXz6iDD0s_Q/Vr4_oxrQNNI/AAAAAAAAC_4/oCQVdfUf-HY/s640/DIY_Envelopes_5.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>

<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I hope this post inspires you to whip up a little something for those you love and appreciate. We gifted several of these to my kid's teachers and I'm saving a few more for my favorite GAL-entines! Happy heart day!</span><br />

We got our first official snow of the winter and have been thoroughly enjoying it! We spent the morning watching it fall out our windows, then bundled up and played in it after lunch. Now we're inside again warming up with cocoa. Pretty perfect Sunday, if you ask me! It would be completely perfect if I could squeeze in a little scrapbooking time, so that is next on the agenda!</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">But before I do that, I thought I'd share with you, the last of the two pages I put together with <a href="http://mycreativescrapbook.com/">My Creative Scrapbook</a>'s January Main kit.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana;">One single, sweet diecut was the inspiration for this page. See the round 'dance forever' diecut in the bottom right corner of my page? Right when I saw it, it reminded me that I was still waiting on the perfect product to scrap my little girl's dance pictures.</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-L-CPsfV4exs/Vo26dWttyrI/AAAAAAAAC9E/nVAI-owgrdw/s1600/MCS-Jaclyn%2BRench-Main%2BKit-LO4-watermark.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-L-CPsfV4exs/Vo26dWttyrI/AAAAAAAAC9E/nVAI-owgrdw/s640/MCS-Jaclyn%2BRench-Main%2BKit-LO4-watermark.png" width="638" /></a></div>
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">The 3x4" Happy Place collection brag cards and diecut pieces were my favorite parts of the kit. In fact, the brag cards made for a quick and easy grid style layout to my page. They were the perfect surface to add bits of my journaling, extra embellishment and layers.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana;"></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-LSjijwzuB5A/Vo26d8_Io8I/AAAAAAAAC9I/i-Z_RIJ-Rag/s1600/MCS-Jaclyn%2BRench-Main%2BKit-LO4-detail%2B2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-LSjijwzuB5A/Vo26d8_Io8I/AAAAAAAAC9I/i-Z_RIJ-Rag/s640/MCS-Jaclyn%2BRench-Main%2BKit-LO4-detail%2B2.JPG" width="426" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-iEBRy_9lUCA/Vo26iC6H_TI/AAAAAAAAC9U/iWHiVULo9gk/s1600/MCS-Jaclyn%2BRench-Main%2BKit-LO4-detail%2B1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="460" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-iEBRy_9lUCA/Vo26iC6H_TI/AAAAAAAAC9U/iWHiVULo9gk/s640/MCS-Jaclyn%2BRench-Main%2BKit-LO4-detail%2B1.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">The last page I created from the kit, makes a bold statement using the diecut letters as both my title and background.</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-PS5fduzZNvY/VpK5c2J-MhI/AAAAAAAAC-Q/lp8vksN9UHM/s1600/MCS-Jaclyn%2BRench-Main%2BKit-LO3-watermark.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-PS5fduzZNvY/VpK5c2J-MhI/AAAAAAAAC-Q/lp8vksN9UHM/s640/MCS-Jaclyn%2BRench-Main%2BKit-LO3-watermark.png" width="636" /></a></div>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"> </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I just couldn't resist those letters! The font and the colors are just perfection and both paired nicely with some of my favorite family Disney memories. While this page has no real title - the page theme is clear, by the words used to 'mat' my photos.</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-W60XilCJMJw/VpK5bmNnN9I/AAAAAAAAC-M/kQuWsf81XSM/s1600/MCS-Jaclyn%2BRench-Main%2BKit-LO3-detail2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-W60XilCJMJw/VpK5bmNnN9I/AAAAAAAAC-M/kQuWsf81XSM/s640/MCS-Jaclyn%2BRench-Main%2BKit-LO3-detail2.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Again, I snuck in more diecuts and button embellishments to accent my page.</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Cb7SOgdxfGs/VpK5c2AEKoI/AAAAAAAAC-c/gCtdZ7xaFLg/s1600/MCS-Jaclyn%2BRench-Main%2BKit-LO3-detail%2B1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Cb7SOgdxfGs/VpK5c2AEKoI/AAAAAAAAC-c/gCtdZ7xaFLg/s640/MCS-Jaclyn%2BRench-Main%2BKit-LO3-detail%2B1.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-X2oplLEcpXU/VpK5kzNCiJI/AAAAAAAAC-k/6YUdf7GiRGc/s1600/MCS-Jaclyn%2BRench-Main%2BKit-LO3-detail%2B3.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="404" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-X2oplLEcpXU/VpK5kzNCiJI/AAAAAAAAC-k/6YUdf7GiRGc/s640/MCS-Jaclyn%2BRench-Main%2BKit-LO3-detail%2B3.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Thanks for joining me today! I hope the rest of your weekend is cozy and crafty!</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">If you have children or at the very least, have tried to take a picture with 2 or more, you know what a challenge it can be. It's darn near impossible to get everyone smiling, happy and looking at the camera at the same time, am I right?! That 'perfect snap' is my one and only wish each Mother's Day, and as you can see, it's often hard to come by. But the outtakes are part of the memory, so I thought they would be fun to include on this page.</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-zWoLMQ-DGIw/Vo2sFx8QXSI/AAAAAAAAC84/etOIf90p57I/s1600/MCS-Jaclyn%2BRench-Main%2BKit-LO2-watermark.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-zWoLMQ-DGIw/Vo2sFx8QXSI/AAAAAAAAC84/etOIf90p57I/s640/MCS-Jaclyn%2BRench-Main%2BKit-LO2-watermark.png" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">The Fancy Pants 3x4 Brag card made for the perfect title for my page, even if it hints at a bit of sarcasm! The quotations reinforce the tongue and cheek nature of my title, in addition to the added text I included by running the 3x4 card through my printer.</span></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-eM7cCKS2YdQ/Vo2sEUAYxKI/AAAAAAAAC8s/wC_ExrWJ8no/s1600/MCS-Jaclyn%2BRench-Main%2BKit-LO2-detail%2B1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="448" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-eM7cCKS2YdQ/Vo2sEUAYxKI/AAAAAAAAC8s/wC_ExrWJ8no/s640/MCS-Jaclyn%2BRench-Main%2BKit-LO2-detail%2B1.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">This paper collection includes so many great diecuts that I tried my best to squeeze in as many as I could. Layering the diecuts among the 3x4 cards, photos and themselves ties all of the elements of the page together and gives them each a home.</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-up10Nv0hL4I/Vo2sEcnyJ1I/AAAAAAAAC8w/kZyI3Wee4sE/s1600/MCS-Jaclyn%2BRench-Main%2BKit-LO2-detail2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="416" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-up10Nv0hL4I/Vo2sEcnyJ1I/AAAAAAAAC8w/kZyI3Wee4sE/s640/MCS-Jaclyn%2BRench-Main%2BKit-LO2-detail2.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Thanks for stopping by today! I'll be back again tomorrow with another kit page to share!</span></div>

Well, today I'm finally able to share what that project is -- I've been selected as the guest designer for <a href="http://mycreativescrapbook.blogspot.com/">My Creative Scrapbook</a> kit club for the months of January - March!</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana;">I got to work with their Main Kit, the contents of which were revealed on their blog and social media accounts today...</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana;"></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-K7o1G8DpGus/Voyc8hcCwnI/AAAAAAAAC8U/aTmJbQbWB74/s1600/January%2BMain%2BKit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-K7o1G8DpGus/Voyc8hcCwnI/AAAAAAAAC8U/aTmJbQbWB74/s320/January%2BMain%2BKit.jpg" width="242" /></a></div>
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">As you can see it's full of the Fancy Pants Happy Place collection, which is just as beautiful and fun to work with, as it appears!</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I made four separate projects with this kit that I'll be sharing in the coming days. The first, and maybe my most favorite of the projects is this altered home décor piece. I used a Jillibean Soup 'Mix the Media' receipt holder from my stash, along with some recent family photos and the kit contents to create this piece.</span><br />

All this week on the Just Nick blog, we're focusing on remembering and reflecting. In doing so, I have been flipping through the photos on my phone from the past year. I uncovered so many gems that had not yet been printed, soI decided to make a page featuring some of the highlights of our year.</span> <span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">This page will serve as the title page for my 2015 family album. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana;"></span><br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Sc9eUUd9h3Q/VoR056nFcKI/AAAAAAAAC54/8V6MGHN9gGs/s1600/IMG_8586.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Sc9eUUd9h3Q/VoR056nFcKI/AAAAAAAAC54/8V6MGHN9gGs/s640/IMG_8586.jpg" width="604" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Supplis used: Simple Stories - patterned paper, bradz, stickers, diecuts; Fancy Pants - buttons; Tim Holtz - mini attacher; Bazzill - cardstock; Other: foam adhesive, machine stitching</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I used three different files from the Just Nick store to create and customize my design</span>. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">The 'This Is' portion of my title was taken from the </span><a href="http://justnick.myshopify.com/collections/all/products/arrow-set-1?variant=6415945729"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Arrow Set 1</span></a><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"> cut file.</span> <span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">The original arrow design used in this file was much thicker and shorter. However, I wanted to use a longer, thinner title that would stretch the width of my page and not get lost in my grid of photos. I've got a house full of sick kiddos to take care of, but I wanted to pop on here quickly to share a page that went live on the </span><a href="http://justnick.myshopify.com/blogs/justnick/56335553-i-always-want-to-remember"><span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Just Nick blog</span></a><span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;"> today. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">All week long the designers have been sharing pages focused on the theme of 'Remember'. That theme had me all mushy gushy and walking down memory lane through photos of my kids from years back. It was a fun excuse to scrapbook these treasured photos I ran across and memories of them being little, that I never want to forget!</span><br />

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">I went for the obvious choice for my title. Lucky for me, Nicole has all sorts of options for the word 'remember' in the cut file store. I used the </span><a href="http://justnick.myshopify.com/collections/all/products/word-tabs?variant=4747847425"><span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Word Tabs</span></a><span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;"> file. <span style="font-family: "verdana";"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: "verdana";">I couldn't resist adding those sweet glittery bow stickers to my title. They reminded me of a string you might tie to your finger to remember something. Pretty perfect, huh?!</span><br />

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">I snuck in some more Just Nick cut files, among the white space on my page. If you are visiting from the DCWV/May Arts blog hop and this is your first time here - welcome, I'm so happy to have you!</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "verdana";"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: "verdana";">Admittedly, I haven't yet taken down my Halloween decorations yet (yikes!) but that didn't stop me from getting a head start on some of my Christmas crafting. I couldn't help it - when I received the new DCWV holiday stacks and an array of gorgeous ribbons from May Arts, I was itching to create.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "verdana";"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: "verdana";">With that being said, I am certainly in no hurry for Christmas to get here. I haven't even begun my shopping, after all! So the first idea that popped into my mind was to create a Christmas countdown. Now I'll have a fun and sparkly way to remind me how many shopping days are left until Santa's arrival!</span><br />
<br />
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-7y28zgqZmuc/Vjl33EuSNjI/AAAAAAAAC3o/no1rLSz6zqA/s1600/IMG_8146.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-7y28zgqZmuc/Vjl33EuSNjI/AAAAAAAAC3o/no1rLSz6zqA/s640/IMG_8146.JPG" width="483" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Supplies used: DCWV - patterned paper, glittered tags and diecuts, gems; May Arts - grosgrain and sparkle ribbon and twine; American Crafts - glitter clothespin, Kerri Bradford - cut file; Provo Craft - wood plank, Other: hot glue, mono liquid glue, computer font.</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">I started off with a wooden plaque that measures about 7.5" by 5.5". I had this particular one from Provo Craft, in my stash from long ago, but you could easily find a similar unfinished piece at your local craft store and paint it to your liking</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "verdana";"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: "verdana";">A bit of hot glue and a glittery clothespin make this piece functional as a countdown. With an array of gorgeous wintery ribbons, I couldn't stop there. I layered May Arts sparkly blue ribbon atop a navy grosgrain to create a dimensional bow that would accent my clip. Again, a bit of hot glue does the trick to secure everything into place.</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-JAhZYMdkl10/Vjl340F19sI/AAAAAAAAC34/_zjIvwD0Jac/s1600/IMG_8148.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-JAhZYMdkl10/Vjl340F19sI/AAAAAAAAC34/_zjIvwD0Jac/s640/IMG_8148.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">The DIY Project Stack Favor boxes - holiday version, was the perfect companion to my project. Not only does it have a coordinating color palette and sparkly finish, but the diecut tags included in the stack, were perfectly made for a project of this type! In addition, the glittery stars and snowflakes were precut and simply punched out from the stack. A little bit of liquid glue was the right adhesive to give these a smooth and secure hold.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "verdana";"></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-WUj80N-IK44/Vjl33VOYDPI/AAAAAAAAC3s/Md5eb1z1xag/s1600/IMG_8150.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="466" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-WUj80N-IK44/Vjl33VOYDPI/AAAAAAAAC3s/Md5eb1z1xag/s640/IMG_8150.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">I couldn't stop there with the sparkle and trim. May Arts makes this beautiful bakers twine that is accented with a silver strand. It was just the right thickness and size to tie at the top of each of my numbered tags.</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-kFJUx5qJRWI/Vjl35vogSVI/AAAAAAAAC4A/WYtEvj4FrmU/s1600/IMG_8151.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-kFJUx5qJRWI/Vjl35vogSVI/AAAAAAAAC4A/WYtEvj4FrmU/s640/IMG_8151.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Here's a closer look at those tags. Aren't they pretty?! They have the most gorgeous sparkly finish that doesn't shed a bit! The best part is, the hard work is all done for you - the tags are numbered, glittered and diecut. All you do is simply punch them from the page, tie on some trim and they are ready to be added to your countdown.</span> <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-18k_6Oephco/VjpRwTvuqeI/AAAAAAAAC4Y/qYBeYYIAidQ/s1600/IMG_8152.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-18k_6Oephco/VjpRwTvuqeI/AAAAAAAAC4Y/qYBeYYIAidQ/s640/IMG_8152.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Thanks for stopping over to take a closer look at my project. I hope you'll stop by again soon!</span></div>

Have you been spotting these cute memo boards all over the place lately? They are intended to provide you with a central place for hanging onto all of those lists, coupons, notes and bits of paper that come into and out of our lives. As a papercrafter though, I myself can't look at them without dreaming up possibilities to embellish and transform them into a pretty home décor piece. So, that's just what I did!<br />
<div dir="ltr" id="yiv4959408331yui_3_16_0_1_1439860727162_3110">
<br />I grabbed <a href="http://www.dcwv.com/new-products/details/dcwv-12x12-premium-stack-happy-day">DCWV's Happy Day stack</a> for this project because I love the neutral color palette that is carried throughout and the pretty pops of gold. I had fun making all sorts of tags, banners and accents to decorate my memo board.</div>

Since that's not possible, I've been busy reminiscing through our summer photos. In doing so, I ran across these pictures of my little girl riding her bike. With two sons, I have plenty of rough and tumble pages to scrapbook.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"></span> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">It has been awhile since I made a page for my oldest son's album. Now that he's 10 the picture opportunities with him are fewer and farther between. Fortunately, I had managed to capture this recent picture of him with one of his latest lego creations. Since this is such a big part of him and what he enjoys, I knew it deserved to be highlighted in his scrapbook.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Verdana;">Filling the insides of the open triangles with varying patterned papers provides a fun way to add color and embellishment to the page. I've been busy crafting up some seasonal projects that I'm excited to share with you. <a href="http://www.dcwv.com/">DCWV</a> has released some brand new fall themed stacks that are available at <a href="http://www.joann.com/">Joann's stores and online</a> now, both in 12x12" and 6x6" sizes. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana;">The Harvest House stack <span style="font-family: Times New Roman;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">is rich and autumnal and the scaled down patterns in the 6X6" stack were ideal for a card.</span> </span></span><br />
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-6INg2IDrTzI/ViKWwGOzWQI/AAAAAAAACzU/LDGa5zqW2sk/s1600/Thanks_Card.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-6INg2IDrTzI/ViKWwGOzWQI/AAAAAAAACzU/LDGa5zqW2sk/s640/Thanks_Card.JPG" width="510" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Supplies used: DCWV The Harvest House 6X6 Stack and glitter cardstock; Just Nick Studio stems cut file; Maya Road decorative chipboard frame; Teresa Collins gold adhesive dots; American Crafts twine; Echo Park 'thanks' metal die; Silhouette</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I fussy cut a couple of the leaf designs directly from the patterned papers and used my electronic diecutting machine and several of the more solid pattern designs to cut out some additional leaves. Throw in some vellum, glitter and specialty papers and you've got a beautiful layered design. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Stacking the leaves amongst each other creates lots of texture as well as a home for my diecut sentiment.</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-wa6OgFi85x8/ViKWzXwz1FI/AAAAAAAACzo/-Iyqrvo7-oE/s1600/Thanks_Card_detail.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-wa6OgFi85x8/ViKWzXwz1FI/AAAAAAAACzo/-Iyqrvo7-oE/s640/Thanks_Card_detail.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div align="left" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">The Spooky Delights stack has loads of fun Halloween elements and icons that work for both cute and scary projects. I couldn't resist fussy cutting this trio of festive creatures to adorn my Halloween greeting.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana;"></span> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-LgKTS-LskxM/ViKWw8c0RRI/AAAAAAAACzg/FGaZXzA_fZM/s1600/Halloween_Card.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="514" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-LgKTS-LskxM/ViKWw8c0RRI/AAAAAAAACzg/FGaZXzA_fZM/s640/Halloween_Card.JPG" width="640" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Supplies used: DCWV Spooky Delight 6x6 Stack and cardstock; Maya Road ribbon; American Crafts twine; Jillibean Soup enamel stars; foam adhesive.</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">To ground my scene, I cut out the "Happy Halloween" label, popped it up on foam adhesive and embellished it with some coordinating </span><a href="http://www.ribbonresource.com/" target="_blank"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">May Arts ribbon</span></a><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">. The combination of elements makes for a fun and festive seasonal card.</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-vDyIpuziwR0/ViKWsNKObVI/AAAAAAAACzQ/7dQ1K-NYXRs/s1600/Halloween_Card_detail.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-vDyIpuziwR0/ViKWsNKObVI/AAAAAAAACzQ/7dQ1K-NYXRs/s640/Halloween_Card_detail.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I used the 6X6" stack on my card, so I wanted to try out the 12X12" stack of the same design, for another fun project. This one is perfect to fill with treats and hang on an unsuspecting neighbor's door.</span><br />
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Supplies: DCWV Spooky Delight Stack; May Arts ribbon; October Afternoon buttons; Tombow Extreme adhesive; Other: black crepe paper and crochet thread.</td></tr>

<div dir="ltr" id="yui_3_16_0_1_1444776550876_4417">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">To construct the cone, I used a favorite 12x12 sheet from the stack. I simply rolled the sturdy paper into a cone shape, trimmed along the top edge for a clean finish, and secured the paper onto itself with </span><a href="http://tombowusa.com/xtreme-adhesive.html" target="_blank"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Tombow Extreme adhesive</span></a><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"> for a nice secure hold.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Now comes the really fun part - the embellishing! I whipped up a simple crepe paper fringe to decorate the top of my cone and used some coordinating ribbon to make my 'hanger'.</span></div>

The Spooky Delights stack includes lots of fun tags and elements that are perfect for fussy cutting. Isn't it fun?! Not only is this new design awesome, but it's also the FREE download for October. Yep, you read that right it's FREE until October 31st at midnight. </span><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Just add the <a href="http://justnick.myshopify.com/collections/all/products/going-in-circles-background?variant=7339749569">Going In Circles Background</a> to your cart and use the code: CIRCLESFREE at checkout and it's all yours!</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"></span> </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I couldn't wait to use this design, accompanied by a favorite photo of my daughter from over the summer. One quick look at the page and you can easily see why this design coordinated so perfectly with the snap of my little girl in a polka dotted inner tube - circles, circles and more circles!</span></div>
<br />

</tbody></table>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I sized the file down, and cut it out of the same white cardstock that I used for the base of my page. </span><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Those open circles were just begging to be filled with snippets of fun and colorful papers, don't you think?! A few strategically placed sequins and embellishments find a nice home among the circles, too!</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-JAOQn5MdAFU/ViKdfRInKHI/AAAAAAAAC1I/u_JJ_WHdKuY/s1600/IMG_8010-001.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-JAOQn5MdAFU/ViKdfRInKHI/AAAAAAAAC1I/u_JJ_WHdKuY/s640/IMG_8010-001.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">If you haven't already noticed, I am constantly reaching for my stash of Kerri Bradford studio stamps. In my opinion, you can never have enough text throughout a page. A bright teal ink combined with these versatile sentiments, really jazz up those arrow diecuts.</span><br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I knew I'd need a bold font for my title, to prevent it from being overshadowed by the circle design on the top half of my page. I turned to the </span><a href="http://justnick.myshopify.com/collections/all/products/hashtags-1?variant=6178580929"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Hashtags 1</span></a><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"> cut file, knowing that the strong type and fun sentiments would be a great match. I selected '#funtimes' - cutting it once from the same textured white cardstock and again from a subtle blue grid patterned paper. Using the blue diecut title as a shadow, creates interest and separation from the white background, while still maintaining cohesion.</span> </div>

All week long on the <a href="http://justnick.myshopify.com/blogs/justnick">Just Nick blog</a> the design team has been sharing projects inspired by everything 'Back to School'. Nicole's awesome cut files and the push to create something to fit the school theme, prompted me to pull out these photos from Emme's very first day of preschool, last year.</span><br />
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Et6MeAgr6Fs/VfB_ot8YAEI/AAAAAAAACyc/KD0pNPotx2E/s1600/IMG_7618.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Et6MeAgr6Fs/VfB_ot8YAEI/AAAAAAAACyc/KD0pNPotx2E/s640/IMG_7618.JPG" width="593" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Supplies used: DCWV - cardstock; Simple Stories - patterned paper, die cuts, bradz, stickers; October Afternoon - flair, diecuts, patterened paper; Pebbles - patternend paper; Tim Holtz - mini attacher and staples; Other: foam adhesive, glue dots, Veteran Typewriter font.</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I had a lot of pictures to include, so I knew I wouldn't have much leftover room for a large background file or intricate, detailed design. Lucky for me, Nicole has files are versatile to fit just about any theme or projects parameters. Admittedly, her word files are some of my favorites and what I naturally defaulted to for this page. I used the word 'photos' from the <a href="http://justnick.myshopify.com/collections/all/products/hashtags-1?variant=6178580929">Hashtags 1</a> file, to fill in the white space on my focal point photo, and complete my title.</span><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-kMZQgIi7E4g/VfB_pCp2v2I/AAAAAAAACyk/M3iJGW1TJAs/s1600/IMG_7620-001.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="425" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-kMZQgIi7E4g/VfB_pCp2v2I/AAAAAAAACyk/M3iJGW1TJAs/s640/IMG_7620-001.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I love that the font used for all of the text in this cut file, leaves out the spaces for the insides of the letters. I used that as an opportunity to add some embellishment to the title, by pulling some coordinating heart diecuts and stapling into the center of each 'O'.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-fipYlVZIyBY/VfB_3yUgqXI/AAAAAAAACy0/PWUUcx5iJ8w/s1600/IMG_7624-001.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="420" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-fipYlVZIyBY/VfB_3yUgqXI/AAAAAAAACy0/PWUUcx5iJ8w/s640/IMG_7624-001.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Adding the little bits and details at the completion of the page, is one of my favorite parts of the scrapbooking process. I combined stickers from both Simple Stories and October afternoon to adorn my journaling card and finished off the cluster of elements with the cutest little piece of flair.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Thanks for stopping by! I hope you'll check out the rest of the DT School project on the <a href="http://justnick.myshopify.com/blogs/justnick">Just Nick</a> blog this week!</span></div>
