Fabulous Faves: Pebbles Layout

It's been a loooooooooooooong time since I scrapbooked a page just about me!  Admittedly, I'm often hiding behind the camera and focusing my scrapbook stories on the cute little ramblings, photos and stories of my kids.  However, I had the pleasure of being assigned the Pebbles assignment 'My favorite things' this month.  So I chose to do just that - document MY favorite things on a page all about me.

Supplies used: Pebbles -  Basics Glitter Foam Honeycomb Thickers (732175) Basics Vanilla Rhinestone Flowers (747203) Basics Yellow Rhinestone Flowers (747218) Basics Journaling Cards (751402) Basics Honeycomb Washi Tape (747211) Basics Begonia Pennant Banner (751409) Basics Peoni Mini Dot (751365) Love You More Annie (751414) Party with Amy Locurto Printed Bags (732231) Walnut Grove Nancy (751298) Walnut Grove Eliza Jane (751304) Walnut Grove Mini Clothes Pins (747190) Seen and Noted Take Note(751321) Seen and Noted 6x6 Paper Pad (751323) Seen and Noted Journaling Cards (747194) Seen and Noted Tags and Pockets (747196); Other: Heidi Swapp color magic mist, Tim Holtz butterfly die, Westrim sequins, KI Memories camera stamp, Technique Tuesday Studio AE stamp, Tsukineko black ink, EK Success border punch, Stampin' Up border and heart punch, Veteran Typewriter font, Paper Studio woodgrain embossing folder, misc button.

I couldn't put together a page of my favorites without starting with a current favorite color palette and a pile of beautiful Pebbles supplies.  As you can see from my lengthy supply list, I pulled from many Pebbles collections, both new and old.

To ensure that I had plenty of room to journal all of my favorites, I trimmed down and included a pocket from the Seen and Noted collection to hold various journaling cards, tags and other decorative pieces. Before attaching it to the page, I embossed the pocket with a woodgrain embossing folder, and included my title on top - part thickers, part stamps.

One of the speech bubbles from the Seen & Noted Take Note paper, acts as my subtitle, and is highlighted by a few gold sequins.  I have been including those Pebbles rhinestone flowers on just about everything lately.  They are a sweet and pretty accent on the yellow block of paper.

The design team girls are sharing their favorites all week long on the Pebbles blog.  I hope you'll stop over and see what they've created!  You never know, you just might be inspired to get out of your comfort zone and scrap a page you wouldn't normally!

Thanks for stopping by today!  See you soon!

Rub a dub dub: A Bella Blvd Layout

Happy Saturday, crafty friends!  I thought I'd pop on here real quick this morning to share a page I have up on the Bella blog today for the Saturday Sketches feature.  Check it out here as well as two other fun interpretations from some other talented Bella designers.

April_Sketch1I

It's no secret that I love a good sketch.  Especially one like this, that includes multiple photos and plenty of room for a title, journaling and lots of embellishment.

I started the page with these sweet photos of my baby girl.   The happy feel of these pictures definitely called for some bright colorful supplies, and Bella provides no shortage of that!  I used one of my favorite yellow chevron papers, from the Birthday Girl and mixed in lots of colorful pieces from the Sophisticates line.

Supplies used: Bella Blvd - Sophisticates: Short Stories, Freestyle Banana; Birthday Girl: Miles of Smiles; Baby Boy: Miniatures Stickers, Alpha+Bits; Ciao Chip: Borders, Designer Tape: Ice Stripe, Polka Dot Combo; High Five Alphabet Stickers: Gulf, Brown-Cream, Blue, Green, Piggy-Punch, Pink-Red, Yellow; Button Market: Tie Dye, Crochet Hearts: Bell Pepper; Other: Recollections vellum; Bazzill cardstock, October Afternoon sprinklers (mist), Creative Memories circle cutter, Veteran Typewriter font, machine stitching.
Misted vellum circles create the look and feel of bubbles, to match the bath time theme.

I pulled out my stack of Bella alphabets and mixed and matched the colors to reinforce the fun, happy feel of the page.  These sweet crochet heart is a pretty accent to the title.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Hope you have a crafty weekend!

You Grew a Ton: Bella Blvd Layout

I've been attempting to clean up some files on my computer, getting my digital pics a bit more organized and in turn have run across a few design team projects that I somehow missed sharing on my blog.

This page is a favorite.  I had the idea for it in my head since my sweet girl was born.  My sister gifted us with these adorable 'onsie stickers' to adorn Emerson's monthly snapshots, which made them all the more fun to take (and kept me accountable for actually getting the pictures snapped)!

Bella Blvd's Baby Girl collection was a natural choice for this page, as it included lots of sweet elephant images and just the right color palette to coordinate.

Supplies used: Bella Blvd - Birthday Girl: Miles of Smiles, Sugar Rush; Baby Girl: Borders, Miniatures Stickers; Designer Tape: Piggy Pink Stripe; Ciao Chip: Sienna Punch Uppercase Chipboard Alphas, Stars & Hearts, Baby Girl Chipboard Icons; Button Market: Purple Flowers, Pink Flowers; Other - Bazzill cardstock, The Paper Company vellum, Westrim sequins, crochet thread, machine stitching, computer font.
I cut out several of the elephants to accent the photo collage and title.  I couldn't resist adding a sweet little string bow to the elephant's trunk, that accent's the title.

A bit of vellum and some machine stitching creates some sweet little confetti pockets, filled with paper bits and sequins.

When taking our monthly photos, I was sure to take a head shot and full body shot.  Obviously, I didn't have enough space to use the full length photos on this page as well, but I wanted a way to include them in Emme's album.  To do so, I cut down a divided page protector to 6" x 12", and sized and trimmed my photos accordingly.  I filled both sides of the page protector with my photos and used a few random stickers, buttons and tape to embellish it.

There's nothing like lining up 12 monthly photos from a baby's first year, to make you realize just how much your little one will change and grow in one short year's time!

Thanks for stopping by!  I'll be back soon with another page to share!

Bella and Petaloo Team Up week

I hope you followed along on the Bella blog last week, as we teamed up with Petaloo to mix and match their pretty flowers, ribbons and brads alongside Bella's beautiful collections!

BBLVD AND PETALOO TEAMUP LOGO

I was thrilled to participate in this team up and get my goodie box filled with Petaloo pretties in the mail!  Bella and Petaloo products match up seamlessly - in both style and color.  In fact, it turns out, they matched up so very well that I just couldn't stop creating projects.

The first is a two page 8.5x11 layout that uses the flowers in a unique way. These particular 'mulberry' blooms reminded me so much of the bright tropical flowers from Hawaii, that I had to go digging into my honeymoon pictures (from nearly 12 years ago!!?!) and pair them up.  Of course, mixing in Bella's Sand and Surf collection, was a no-brainer!

(image removed for publication - be back soon!)

To create the title, I traced Bella's Sienna Uppercase chipboard letters onto the white background cardstock and cut them out.  This left with me with the 'negatvie' portion of the letters, which I backed with a rainbow of Petaloo flowers.  Fun and simple yet so eye-catching!

While I was digging out my honeymoon pictures, I unearthed pictures from one of my bridal showers, long long ago!  Again, I knew these would pair well with the soft pastels in 'Engaged at Last' and the many delicate flowers, gems and brads from Petaloo.

Supplies used: Engaged At Last: Bridal Shower, He Proposed, Just Write Journaling Stickers, Engagement Chipboard Icons, Wedding Shower Stick Pin Flags; Love and Marriage: Esther Fleming Floral, Borders, Just Write Journaling Stickers, Wedding Day Miniatures; Other - Bazzill cardstock, Studio Calico Mister Huey mist, Veteran Typewriter font.

For whatever reason, titles are oftentimes difficult for me to come up with.  So, I was glad this pretty Bella sticker did the thinking for me, as well as doubling as the center for the layered flower!

Who doesn't love a rainbow of color, especially one made of beautifully patterned Designer Tapes?! I do, and this next card proves it!  To put together this simple card, I cut a square of white cardstock slightly smaller than my card front, and began layering on some of my favorite tapes in rainbow order. I pulled a quick 'thanks' sticker from the card sentiments miniature sticker sheet, and topped the whole design off with a big and bold layered Petaloo flower and glittery brad.

Supplies used: Bella Blvd - Sophisticates: Card Sentiment Miniature Stickers; Designer Tape: Piggy Pink Stripe, Orange Stripe, 12mm Combo Pack, Pickle Juice Stripe, Ice Stripe.; Petaloo flowers and brad, Paper Company cardstock.

I have been loving sneaking Bella's pretty feathers into so many projects lately.  They add so much texture and unexpected fluff!  Here I snipped off the top of a large one and tucked it right behind the leaves on this focal point flower.

Supplies used: Bella Blvd - Love and Marriage: Tuner Hall Ballroom; Ciao Chip: Stars & Hearts; Feathers: Pickle Juice; Sophisticates: Card Sentiment Miniature Stickers.

This quick card was made entirely from the 'leftovers' of the above wedding shower page, and therefore a snap to put together! I trimmed my card base down to a size that would compliment my remaining scrap of paper, and added the remaining embellishments that didn't make it onto my page. Petaloo's yellow floral brad topped flower is such a nice compliment to the background patterned paper, and soft springy feel of this card.

Supplies used: Bella Blvd - Sophisticates: Card Sentiment Miniature Stickers; Designer Tape: Piggy Pink Stripe, Orange Stripe, 12mm Combo Pack, Pickle Juice Stripe, Ice Stripe; Other - machine stitching.

If you want to see more detailed pictures of all of these projects, stop on over to last Wednesday's post on the Bella blog here.  Thanks, as always, for stopping by friends!
